The creek behind our house has issues. It was a big neighborhood brouhaha. Every time it rained, it flooded and began to erode the land up into people’s backyards. Yards were literally falling off into the creek. Think California coastline. You got that mental picture?
So the neighborhood waged war with the county, and we won. They fixed our creek last month. It is lovely now. It has big retaining walls and a retention pond, which is stocked, I might add. Jax is very happy about that.
But the big test came today. The big rains fell today. Did the walls hold?
You never know if your walls will hold until the big rains fall.
You never know what’s going to come out of you until you’re squeezed.
The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. (Matthew 12:34)
What comes out of you when your creek floods? Do your faith walls hold?
